The barn in King City where women come to breathe

There is a particular kind of tiredness that comes with separating. It lives in the body long before the paperwork is finished, and it does not respond well to more talking.

We work alongside an equine therapy organization to offer private retreats for women in small, intimate group settings — held in King City, beside a gorgeous old barn, with the horses just beyond the door.

The horse doesn't ask what happened. It simply meets you where you are.

Equine-assisted therapy invites the horse in as a partner in healing. Horses read what a person is carrying with an honesty no human manages, and they ask for nothing but presence. Grooming, leading, or simply standing beside one brings what is unsettled to the surface and gives the body a way to settle it. Many women find it reaches places conversation alone cannot.

Every retreat is guided by a psychiatrist who has devoted her practice to this quiet, powerful modality, so the day is held with both clinical care and deep tenderness. Groups stay small by design — a handful of women, a few horses, and a whole day of room to breathe.

Retreats are private, and dates are shared with our community first.
